The Saartjie Baartman Centre for womn & Children (SBCWC) is a one-stop centre for women and children who are survivors of abuse.SBCWC seeks to appoint an Social Auxillary Worker to be based in Cape Town.
Employment type: Contract position (1st November 2019 – 31 March 2020)
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to the counselling team
- Maintain good administrative systems
- Provide monthly reports to the Residential and intake Co-ordinators
- Liase with Case Managers
- Document service provided, incidents and/or accidents, time sheets and updating records
- Participate in team meetings, reviews and quality improvement strategies
Requirements:
- Appropriate qualification and proo of latest registration
- Minimum one year experience working in a similar position, or with survivors of domestic violence would be an advantage
- Fluency in at least two of the ofical languages of the Western Cape
- Written and spoken communication skills
- Be computer literate
- A Valid Driver’s licence
