Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Sales and marketing of selected products
· Store visits as per Call cycle
· Stock management
· Customer service
· Lead, motivate, direct, develop and control staff
· Development and assessment of staff in the stores
· Personnel administration
· Compilation and submission of reports
· Building of relationships with customers and supplier partners
· Liaising with supplier partners and distribution agents on stock issues
· Liaise and provide feedback to Regional Sales Manager on issues, problems and opportunities
· Achievement of Sales Budgets set
· Achievement of all Company objectives
· Fulfil certain human resources responsibilities
Criteria & Personal Skills/Attributes:
· At least 5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG/Retail grocery industry
· Grade 12 and all relevant experience and potential will be considered
· IR experience advantageous
· Time management
· Planning ability especially working under pressure
· Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office packages
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal, relationship and negotiation skills
· Ability to motivate others
· Pro-active and assertive approach
· Proven leadership & relationship building skills
· Valid driver’s licence (Code 08) and own vehicle (or the ability to organise financing for a vehicle) as travelling is widespread and an essential part of the position
