About the Position
Sechaba Milling Company (Pty) Ltd is seeking a results-driven Sales & Marketing Officer to support business expansion and strengthen the company’s brand presence. The successful candidate will drive business growth through business-to-business (B2B) sales channels, including wholesalers, supermarkets, retail distributors, general dealers, and institutional buyers.
The role also involves planning and executing promotional campaigns, building strong customer relationships, monitoring market trends, and improving product visibility across retail outlets.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Two to three years of proven B2B sales and marketing experience, preferably in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food distribution, or wholesale sectors.
- A valid Code B driver’s licence is mandatory.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong target-driven mindset and ability to achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Channel Sales: Identify and approach potential customers, negotiate business agreements, and onboard wholesalers, supermarkets, general dealers, and institutional buyers to achieve volume sales targets.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale partners, manage repeat orders, and resolve customer enquiries promptly.
- Promotional Campaigns and Trade Activations: Plan, coordinate, and execute promotional events, brand activations, and marketing campaigns to increase consumer demand.
- Market Intelligence and Competitor Tracking: Monitor competitor pricing, market demand, and retail stock availability, and provide regular market feedback reports to management.
- Distribution and Merchandising Support: Monitor product visibility, shelf presentation, and placement across retail outlets while coordinating with delivery and logistics teams.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts, account performance reviews, and customer visit logs.
