Position: Sales & Marketing/Events Coordinator.

Purpose of the job:

Develop and foster business through proactive marketing, direct sales, telemarketing, appointment calls, email marketing, and site visits. Also develops strategic plans for the Lodge to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue. Reports to the Front Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

· Answering questions about the lodge’s conference and event options, in person, over the telephone, via social media platforms, or by email.

· Developing and sustaining a long-lasting relationship with our clients and customers.

· Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing sales proposals.

· Utilizing social media platforms to garner customer interest and create brand awareness.

· Interlink our social media pages so that they work hand in hand.

· Preparing sales forecast reports and submitting them to management.

· Developing effective sales strategies to increase the lodge sales.

· Producing quality advertising material for the lodge facilities and services.

· Attend sales expos.

· Maintaining an accurate record of past campaign results and determining the most effective marketing approaches.

· Analysing market trends, sales, and marketing metrics, as well as pricing strategies to identify ways to improve the lodge sales and marketing efforts.

· Set up site visits with potential customers.

· Give potential customers a tour of the lodge.

· Presenting information about our facilities and service options, including conferences, accommodation, events facilities, sound system, tables, chairs, linens, decor, etc.

· Planning events and liaising with relevant departments, seeing them through, and tackling any issues that may arise when the event is taking place.

· Understanding and identifying the requirements of each event.

· Analysing and evaluating an event’s success and submitting reports.

· Handling group bookings.

· Ensuring that events that take place at the lodge run smoothly and according to plan.

· Interacting with clients and customers in order to bring them to use the lodge facilities.

· Working with clients to guide them through event details and serving as their personal coordinator throughout the entire planning process and the event.

· Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by Management.

Education and Experience:

· National Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing or Hospitality Management

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales & marketing in a hospitality environment.

Skills required:

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and PMS.

· Excellent interpersonal skills
