An opportunity has become available for a Sales Lead to join our team in Lesotho.

The Sales Lead reports directly to the Country Manager.

The main purpose of this role is to provide oversight on retail sales and drive sales to corporates, enterprise sales, including but not limited to the following:

Driving revenue and growth of the market by generating sales through agent army, marketing the enterprise and corporate products and all other Mukuru products, which involves marketing collateral in-country, driving brand awareness and managing brand across partnerships and verticals, acting as internal liaison for Mukuru Bureau de Change.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not Limited to):

  • Oversee sales and growth targets for in-country products
  • Analyse and monitor transaction statistics
  • Motivate and strategize on how to incentivise the agent army
  • Develop awareness of Mukuru brand and services
  • Ensure sufficient stock of marketing collateral is available
  • Engage with potential customers and market the enterprise product
  • Investigate feasibility of potential new corridors
  • Carry out inspections of sales agent operating sites
  • Take responsibility for sales stock management and cost management
  • Generate weekly reports
  • Conduct general people management functions to ensure efficient running of sales department
  • Assist with recruitment of new sales agents to ensure sufficient staffing capability
  • Ensure that all staff have sufficient training before commencing employment

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Sales and Marketing qualification (Essential)
  • At least 5 years Sales experience of which 2 years should be at managerial level (Essential)
  • Relevant language (Essential)
  • Experience in managing a Sales force
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
  • Knowledge of how to generate marketing collateral
  • Knowledge of marketing collateral
  • Knowledge of procurement methodology
