Overview
The core responsibily of the consultant is to generate revenue for the company through the new clients acquisition and existing clients’ maintenance efforts. The sales consultant will continually look for sales opportunities in the market and pursue contracts with Medical aid clients, engage in product development and retain existing clients while working with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Identify areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategies and promotional activities
- Generating ideas and turning them into opportunities for sales
- Identify opportunities for new clients acquisition
-Building long term relationships with new and existing clients - Contacting potential clients via telephone, email and face to face
- Working towards set KPI’s and revenue targets
- Evaluating past performance of a product
- Working closely with other departments and finding opportunities to cross-sell products
- Ensuring all administration relating to sales in completed effectively
- Working with other company officers to establish budgets and sales targets
- Collecting and synthesizing the research related to the medical aid activities in other companies, competitors and market condition data
- Analysing published data and statistics to aid sales processes
- Assessing future trends through research, current market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that affect sales strategies
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
- A Degree in Marketing/Sales or Commerce
- Must have a Minimum of 4 years experience in employee benefits or similar roles
- Understanding of sales processes preferably with customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excel and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to travel around the country and internationally
Must have a valid Code 08 driver’s license with reliable transport
