The role

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Telesales and Customer Support Representative to join our Customer Support team! As a Telesales and Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for generating calls to potential customers with the main goal to achieve your sales quota. As a Telesales and Customer Support Representative, we are expecting you to be an outstanding communicator and listener with the professional, but friendly approach. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with online customer support, working in a fast paced call center environment and has an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support our customers via our online chat / email and phone
  • To provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits to our customers and follow up to ensure resolution
  • To collaborate across the business to ensure our customers are our top priority and receiving excellent support and service at all times
  • To reach out to existing and potential customers to present our product and service offering
  • To generate sale leads that develop into new customers
  • To direct prospects and leads to the sales team
  • To flag key issues and opportunities for improvement as raised by our customers
  • To provide accurate , valid and complete information by using the right methods and tools
  • To conduct financial recons and other ongoing checks and balances within the system
  • To learn about the company’s products/services and remain up to date with any changes
  • To meet personal/customer service team targets and call handling quotas
  • To follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • To take the extra mile to engage customers


Key Requirements

  • Experience as a Customer Support Representative
  • 1 Year Telesales experience
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong phone contact skills and active listening
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Self motivated and proven track record of working remotely
  • Familiar with CRM systems and practices
  • Experience in Excel and technical systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to stay calm when customers are upset or stressed
  • A-team player who can also work independently
  • 3 years experience in a role with demonstrable evidence of attention to detail and supporting customers
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Afrikaans, Xhosa or Zulu would be advantageous
  • Matric or a Customer Service Diploma
  • Must have own reliable transport ( Non negotiable )
  • Experience working remotely in a customer service and sales environment
  • Must have own reliable internet connection, preferably a fiber connection with 5Mbps / 10Mbps


Typical working hours
– 8am-5pm / 9am-6pm
