Job Description

As a Sales Agent you will work closely with your Team Leader and Sales Coordinators in sales and marketing efforts of ACE’s products. You will assist in planning, conducting demonstrations of products and sales, as well as completing contracts, collecting data, providing excellent customer service, and chasing prospective customers. You will  also be responsible for assisting customers in ACE shops.

African Clean Energy will provide you with a complete 3-WEEKS SALES TRAINING in MASERU, after which you will return back to your respective district to begin the job. The company will provide housing (if needed) during the 3-weeks course. We are strictly looking to hire Sales Agents who currently live in the following places: Qacha, Nazareth, Mapoteng, Motsekuoa and Mphaki.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell ACE 1 via demonstrations and flyers distribution
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Work closely with the Sales Coordinator to plan and execute effective demonstrations and sales
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Inform management of customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Open maintenance cases and keep the customer informed during the process.
  • Make cash collections where necessary
  • Ensure your customers are repaying on time
  • Ensure contracts and forms are completed accurately and timely
  • Open office/shop in morning
  • Sell other ACE products e.g. pellets, wall chargers, solar panels, etc.
  • Guide clients how to pay via Mpesa/Eco cash. (do not accept cash for monthly payments)
  • Conduct customer after sale visitations.
  • Schedule and conduct group demos at the shop
  • Make new ACE1 sales. (Groups or individuals) Know how to fill new contract forms.
  • Keeping the shop tidy and cleaning the showroom area at the end of every day.
  • Reconcile receipts books and deposit initial customer deposits into The ACE bank account/ Mpesa account on a daily basis. Write and issue receipts for EVERY transaction at the shop.

  • Other Supervisors: Commercial Manager and Project Manager

Required skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to speak clearly and confidently to a group
  • Sense of humour
  • Experience working in sales
  • Excellent command of both Sesotho and English, in speech and writing
  • Ability to take initiative, approach people and work independently
  • Ability and skills to organise time and tasks
  • Computer Literate and Tech Savvy
  • Drivers Licence (Essential)

  • Prepared to work hard to meet targets
  • Show initiative

Education requirements :

  • COSC or above
