Sales Administrator – Brokers Division

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To ensure smooth running of the Brokers Channel Office by providing technical and administrative assistance to the Manager and team members as well as the main channel stakeholders – Broker Houses and Independent Intermediaries.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1 Receive, check, and record new business applications forms from the Broker Consultant timeously
2 Prepare weekly new business bulletin for analysis
3 Conduct verification calls to prospective clients at application
4 Capture new Intermediaries and Brokers into the intermediary management system as well as issues commission and debit numbers
5 Receive, register, and post contracts to Broker Consultants
6 Request contract replacement for clients
7 Pay all the region’s outstanding invoices
8 Monitor and analyse the region’s monthly cost report
9 Handle internal and external correspondence for the region
10 Procurement and general administration for the region
11 Any other administration and strategic assignments given by the Regional Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Diploma in Business Administration plus 5 years’ experience
OR
• Degree in Business Administration, B. Comm or Business Management or General Accountant
• Financial services experience is desirable
• Life Insurance Sales experience key

KEY TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Sound knowledge of business systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Appreciation of financial services industry
  • Project management skills (Planning and Coordination)
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Sesotho languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail,
  • Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines (time management skills)
  • Excellent presentation skills
