Post Description:
- Implementation of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment processes, corrective action and follow up
- Co-ordination of Legal training needs as per the OHS Act and Regulations and general training
- Ensure implementation of standards and policies
- Contractor safety
- Conduct investigations of all incidents as per section 24 and ensure appropriate SHE Practices
- Manage audits/inspections at laboratories to ensure safe practices
- Co-ordinate waste management on campus
- Safety coordinating of Events
- Co-ordinate Emergency procedures
- Off campus privately own student accommodation safety inspections
- Diploma in safety management or relevant qualification dealing with hazardous substances within a Laboratory environment
