Post Description:

  • Implementation of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment processes, corrective action and follow up
  • Co-ordination of Legal training needs as per the OHS Act and Regulations and general training
  • Ensure implementation of standards and policies
  • Contractor safety
  • Conduct investigations of all incidents as per section 24 and ensure appropriate SHE Practices
  • Manage audits/inspections at laboratories to ensure safe practices
  • Co-ordinate waste management on campus
  • Safety coordinating of Events
  • Co-ordinate Emergency procedures
  • Off campus privately own student accommodation safety inspections
  • Diploma in safety management or relevant qualification dealing with hazardous substances within a Laboratory environment

  • Facilitate health and Safety meetings

  • Experience dealing with Laboratories
