The Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children (SBCWC) is a one-stop centre for women and children who are survivors of abuse.
SBCWC seeks to appoint an Auxiliary Social Worker, based in Cape Town.
This is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to the counselling team
- Maintain good administrative systems
- Provide monthly reports to the Residential and Intake Coordinators
- Liaise with Case Managers
- Document services provided, incidents and/or accidents, time sheets and updating records
- Participate in team meetings, reviews and quality improvement strategies
Requirements:
- Appropriate qualification and proof of latest registration
- Minimum one-year experience working in a similar position or with survivors of domestic violence would be an advantage
- Fluency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape
- Written and spoken communication skills
- Be computer literate
- A valid driver’s license
