Job Functions Risk Analysis,Risk Management Industries Insurance Specification
o Responsibility for the risk management processes and procedures across the TIH Group
o Assist with the development, measurement and reporting of the Risk appetite
o Perform Control assessments
o Manage the incident reporting process, specifically in terms of control reviews and future improvements
o Work with the team on the risk management sections of the ORSA
o Establish and embed the Combined assurance model
o Support the business planning process
o Stay up to date with regulatory requirements
o Ensure Regulatory compliance within the risk division, this includes updating relevant policies and aligning risk management practices to the regulatory requirements
o Risk reporting to stakeholder which include business, Risk Committee, Other assurance providers and the Regulator
o Strengthen Risk awareness within TIH – through awareness, training etc
o Ensure that the Risk Function is in line with local and international best practice
o Deliver the Telesure Service Way through personal effort and through others
- Business Continuity Management
o Monitor and maintain business continuity controls to ensure they function effectively and efficiently.
o Builds relationships and liaises with operational, tactical and support stakeholders to understand business needs, problems and requirements.
o Implement the Business Continuity Management Strategy
o Ensure that the regulatory requirements are met
o Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of relevant business continuity policies and procedures, ensuring that these policies and procedures comply with all regulatory requirements.
o Coordinate BCM Committee meetings
o Strengthen BCM awareness within TIH – through awareness, training etc
- Support on Market research/insights
o Monitoring and reporting on the corporate insurance market within South Africa (and when useful also abroad) for market comparative purposes and to inform strategy. This would mainly entail analysis of Annual Financial Statements
Requirements
o Between 3-5 years’ experience in a Risk Management role
o Experience with working with various stakeholders across the business
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o BSc or BCom Degree in Risk Management/Financial Risk or similar
o Professional qualification in Risk Management (FRM, PRMIA ORM, CRISC) is advantageous
o Proficient in Microsoft Office
o General Insurance industry knowledge would be beneficial
