An opportunity exists to join this Investor in People Company in the above capacity. Metropolitan Lesotho is a wholly owned subsidiary of Momentum Metropolitan Group, a company registered on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. We are currently looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual in the position of Risk and Compliance Officer based in Maseru, Lesotho. The incumbent will report directly to the Head of Corporate Services.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To facilitate and Coordinate the implementation of the Compliance Risk Management Framework and Enterprise Risk Management Framework of the Company.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Compliance Risk Management
To operationalise the requirements of the ERMF & CRM through coordinated activities that assist business to implement in the respective areas, sound risk management practices. - Risk Management
To report and Provide support to the business by monitoring and review of compliance with said policies in order to give assurance to management and the Board effectiveness of the policies. - Reporting
To service as local liaison for internal auditors and give effective access to information enabling them to provide comprehensive independent assurance on implemented controls. - Governance
To assist with Company Secretary duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- LLB Degree or
- Degree in Accounting
- Risk Management or any equivalent
- Degree with a certificate in Compliance Management and Risk ( preferred)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant Compliance and Risk Field
- Knowledge of Lesotho’s Labour Laws and Codes of Best Practice
