Introduction
Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“Letšeng”), a private company owned by Gem Diamonds Limited (“Gem”) (70%) and the Government of Lesotho (“GoL”) (30%) has insourced process function which consists of Plant Maintenance, Plant operation and Plant Procurement. As part of this insourcing, Letšeng is looking for suitable candidates for the position of RIGGER
Duties & Responsibilities
To set up and repair rigging requirements at the plants and construction sites. Responsible for aligning and anchoring the machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring that rigging equipment is safe for use.
Desired Qualification Experience Skills & Competencies
Recognised rigger trade certificate plus a proven track record in the mechanical field in the mining industry.
Lifting machinery inspection certificate
Minimum of 3 years working experience as a rigger in the mining processing industry
In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery with good knowledge and experience of the legal requirements related to lifting equipment and working at heights in the processing environment.
Completing maintenance documentation.
Strong quality orientation in terms of work standards.
Valid drivers license
Physically fit and strong and free from vertigo.
