1.0 Background Information and Context
The Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) is a voluntary Association of Christian Churches providing not-for-profit health care services to Basotho. It was established in 1974, as an Association under the Society’s Act of the Kingdom of Lesotho. CHAL is made up of six member churches, Roman Catholic Church, Lesotho Evangelical Church, Bible Covenant, Assemblies of God, Seventh Day Adventist Church and Anglican Church in Lesotho, operating 8 hospitals with 4 Schools of Nursing and 71 health centers. CHAL provides about 40% of the health care services to the population of Lesotho especially in the rural and peri-urban areas of the country. CHAL through the Secretariat, coordinates the activities of member institutions and facilitates in collaboration with partners for support to the institutions as implementing agents.
1.1 Overview of the assignment
The overall objective of the assignment is to engage a supplier to assist with the printing of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to promote awareness on the importance of covid 19 vaccination to the people in Lesotho. The main purpose is to strengthen the knowledge and facts about the pandemic and to remove the myths and misconceptions about the Covid 19 vaccines.
2.0 Assignment Objectives
The Supplier is expected to have produced and deliver to CHAL premises, the following IEC materials:
- Sesotho fliers at the quantity of 50,000 using the A5 size and 128 gsm gloss paper full colour.
- Pamphlets at the quantity of 50,000 using the A4- A5 fold and 128 gsm gloss full colour.
- Stickers at a quantity of 90,152, oval shape, gloss, self-adhesive, 9cm diameter and 4cm radius, full colour
3.0 Expected Profiles of the interested candidates
The potential supplier can should have been in the business for at least 5 years with good reputation. Must be proficient in their subject of speciality and provide a portfolio of evidence, including samples of previous similar work.
4.0 Time Frame
The assignment is expected to take a maximum of 7 days, including weekends, effective from receipt of purchase order from CHAL.
5.0 Proposal Specifications
Interested Suppliers must include, in their bid, a detailed technical and financial proposal with the following components:
- Technical Proposal
- Understanding and interpretation of the assignment
- Time and activity schedule
- Portfolio of evidence, including samples of previous similar work
5.2 Financial Proposal
- Detailed cost proposal in Maloti for the printing and delivery of the requested supplies in 2.0 above. Quotation/financial proposal should clearly show how much each requested item will cost.
- The financial proposal should be detailed to include all costs of consultancy.
Amongst the documents to be submitted, must attach a valid tax clearance and a trader’s licence.
5 Submission of Proposal
Interested and qualified Suppliers should hand deliver their bids at Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL) offices, along constitution road, behind Victoria Hotel, Opposite LNIG. The Technical and Financial proposals should be submitted in different envelops, labelled “Technical Proposal” and “Financial Proposal” respectively. The two envelopes should be put and submitted in one envelop, labelled “ Proposal for printing and delivery of IEC material, To Christian Health Association of Lesotho (CHAL), Maseru”. All envelopes should bear NO identity of the Supplier/Bidder.
The deadline for submission of quotation will be the Wednesday the 26th January, 2022 at noon (1200 hrs).
6 Evaluation and Award of Consultancy
CHAL will evaluate the bids and award the assignment based on technical and financial feasibility. CHAL reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation received without giving reasons and is not bound to accept the lowest or the highest bid/quotation.
