Background
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) awarded Contract LHDA 6015A: Construction of Resettlement Villages and Replacement Housing within the Polihali Site Establishment Area to Sixty15 JV, a joint venture comprising:
- Motjetjepa Investments T/A Eagle Construction
- Afro-Asia Engineering
- Geo Construction
Sixty15 JV seeks to engage Basotho-owned companies with the required expertise and experience to supply concrete blocks as specified below.
Concrete/Cement-Sand Block Specification
- Type: 90mm wide hollow core concrete blocks
- Dimensions: 90 × 390 × 190 mm
- Minimum Compressive Strength: 3 MPa
- Application: Construction of single-storey residential structures and amenities
- Quantity Required: 200,000 blocks
- Supply Rate: Minimum of 8,000 blocks per week starting 1 September 2025
Pricing Options:
- Option 1: Block price excluding transport (single price)
- Option 2: Block price including transport (price per block or per 500/1,000 blocks)
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory Documents)
Quotations without these documents will be disqualified:
- Trader’s License
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
- References for similar services from at least three clients in the past 3 years
- Business profile including supply experience
- Compressive strength test results (not older than 2 years) from an approved laboratory
- Valid vehicle registration certificates for delivery transport
- Proof of equipment and facilities/infrastructure (include photographs)
- Clear terms and conditions of supply and delivery
All required documents must be certified at source where applicable.
Important Notes
- The supply contract may be awarded to more than one supplier.
- Six (6) labeled samples of the specified concrete blocks (not older than 28 days) may be requested from shortlisted suppliers.
