1. Background
The National Drug Service Organisation (NDSO) has received funding from The Global Fund to support the delivery of Germicidal Ultraviolet Lights within Lesotho. As part of this initiative, NDSO seeks to procure Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (wall/ceiling) Light to facilitate safe TB patients rooms in hospitals.
2. Scope of Supply
The supplier is required to supply and deliver Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (wall/ceiling) Lights to NDSO.

3. Specifications
- Power: 240VAC, 0.65A; 50–60Hz, grounded circuit.
- Lamps: PL-L36W TUV lamp; 36W (one lamp) or 72W (two lamps) nominal watts; 12UVW (one lamp) or 24UVW (two lamps).
- Minimum mounting height from the floor: 7’-0”.
- Fitting type: Closed fitting to protect eyes and skin of patients.
- Safety: Safe to use in open rooms, wards, and patient waiting areas.
4. Bid Submission Requirements
Interested suppliers must submit:
- Quotation clearly indicating unit and total prices.
- Brochures of products showing detailed specifications of the product quoted for.
- Delivery lead-time.
- Warranty.
- Valid tax clearance certificate and company registration documents.

All quotations must be submitted on or before the closing date and time indicated above. Late submissions will not be accepted.
5. Evaluation and Award Criterion
1. Technical Evaluation
Bids will be assessed against the technical requirements and criteria specified.
Only bids that achieve 80% technical score shall qualify for further consideration.
2. Financial Evaluation
Only bids that passed the Technical Evaluation will undergo Financial Evaluation.
3. Recommendation for Award
The award shall be recommended to the bidder who:
- Passed the Technical Evaluation, and
- Submitted the lowest evaluated price.
6. Terms and Conditions
- Prices shall remain valid for at least 30 days from the closing date.
