REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS : PROVISION OF TRANSPORT SERVICES
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES (CRS) is the official overseas relief and development agency of the –United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB) and is helping to promote sustainable development in the world’s poorest countries. CRS/Lesotho extends invitations to submit quotations for provision of Transport Services as follows:

Interested applicants must include the following in their applications:
- Full contact details (name, postal & physical address, phone numbers and e-mail addresses), on Company Letterhead and signed by an authorized official.
- A valid copy of vehicle registration certificate
- Vehicle model: From 2021
- Registration with relevant bodies,i.e. Insurance Company
- List of vehicles owned by the company with their registration numbers.
- Valid copy of Trader’s License
- Valid TAX Clearance Certificate
- VAT Registration Certificate (where applicable)
- ID documents of Directors
- Provide 3 reference letters from contactable companies.
- Audited Financial Statements for Two (2) past years
Criteria for selection include the following:
- Flexibility and Availability at any requested time
- Terms of Payment (30 days).
- Vehicle condition with valid certificates
- Rate per km plus the standing charge/ a flat rate for a distance travelled plus the standing charge
Conditions:
- Applications can be submitted in hard copy not by email
- Bids must be separated into technical bid and financial bid enclosed in one outer envelope bearing no bidder’s name labelled: “Provision of Transport Services”. One inner envelope enclosing technical bid and bearing bidder’s name labelled: “Technical bid for Provision of Transport Services” and the second inner envelope bearing bidder’s name and enclosing financial bid labelled “financial bid for Provision of Transport Services”.
- Bids must be deposited in the Bid Box at Catholic Relief Services-Lesotho and addressed at the below address.

The closing date for submission of the proposals is Friday, February 09th , 2024 at 10:00 hours. Late submissions will not be accepted. Bids will be opened on the same day at CRS Lesotho Offices at 10:30hours by CRS Lesotho Tender Committee, in the presence of the Bidders or their representative who chose to attend.
Please note:
- The issuance of this invitation does not constitute an award commitment on the part of CRS Lesotho, nor does it commit CRS Lesotho to pay for the costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a quotation.
- The prices shall be quoted in Maloti or Rand. The quoted prices will be fixed for contract duration (one year) following variations in the fuel rate fluctuations.
- The applicants must comply with the requirements above. Non-compliant applications may be disqualified.
