REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR INLAND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES (TRUCKS)
Background
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Lesotho was awarded funding by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) on September 16, 2022, to implement a McGovern Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition project, in partnership with the Government of Lesotho. The project will support school feeding activities in Maseru (Semonkong), Thaba-Tseka and Mokhotlong districts, for a period of 5-years from October 1st, 2022 through September 30, 2027. In addition, the project will implement literacy, WASH, as well as health and nutrition activities in 227 schools, while also supporting farmers to strengthen their production capacity to support the school feeding program.
Objective
Catholic Relief Services – Bokamoso Ba Bana (3B) project requires inland transportation services in the following categories:
1. To deliver food commodities hereinafter referred to as “cargo,” from the transit warehouse in Maseru to FMU warehouses in Thaba-Tseka, Mokhotlong and Semonkong.
2. Deliver cargo from the three mentioned districts’ FMU warehouses to the respective schools (list to be provided).
