REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP): SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF KATSE LUXURY CRUISE BOAT WITH ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE
The Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) invites qualified suppliers/bidders to submit proposals for the supply and delivery of a Katse Luxury Cruise Boat and associated infrastructure (jetty and tourist waiting facilities).
LTDC, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture and the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, is advancing the development of ancillary tourism facilities at key locations across Lesotho. One of these strategic locations is Katse in Leribe, with the introduction of a luxury cruise boat which will sail within the Katse Dam.
The purpose of this Luxury Cruise Boat is to develop and operationalise a premium water-based tourism attraction that diversifies Lesotho’s tourism products, enhances visitor experience and unlocks tourism and investment potential in Lesotho. The project seeks to attract scenic cruising experiences, supported by a suitable jetty, tourist waiting facilities and ablution amenities.
It further aims to stimulate local economic development, create employment and enterprise opportunities, increase tourism revenue, encourage private-sector investment and position Katse as a competitive inland-water tourism destination in Lesotho.

Interested suppliers/bidders must procure a full tender document by emailing [email protected]. The document is valued at M3,000.00 (non-refundable) and must be procured on or before 4 November 2026, by 16:00 hrs.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
- Technical Proposal: 70%
- Financial Proposal: 30%
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, 6 November 2026, at 17:00 hrs.
