REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CONSULTANCY TO REVIEW, ALIGN AND DEVELOP THE THIRD NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN TOWARDS 2030

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry in carrying out an assessment and review of the second National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP II), to establish the effectiveness of the strategy’s monitoring system, the policy and legal framework and develop a new NBSAP aligned with Kunming -Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF). The review of the NBSAP II and national targets will focus on identifying gaps, develop and align the national targets and goals to the KM-GBF. The above information will enable the development of a new NBSAP through a whole government approach promoting participation at all levels with a view to fostering the full and effective contributions of women, youth, vulnerable/marginalized groups, local communities, civil society organizations, the private and financial sectors, and stakeholders from all other sectors, as per CBD COP decision 15/4.
In view of the above, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry requests proposals from body corporates and/or individuals to undertake CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO REVIEW, ALIGN AND DEVELOP THE THIRD NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN TOWARDS 2030.

Proposals (Technical and Financial) must be delivered separately and deposited in the tender box situated at the 7th floor Post Office Building, next to the boardroom on/or before 16:30 p.m. on TUESDAY 30th APRIL, 2024. Electronic submissions shall not be permitted, and Late proposals will be rejected. Proposals will be opened physically in the presence of the Consultants representatives who choose to attend in person at the 7th Floor Board Room, Post Office Building at 9.00a.m on THURSDAY 2ND MAY 2024.
The Technical Proposal must be submitted in one (1) original copy and the four (4) associated copies in a sealed envelope clearly marked “TECHNICAL PROPOSAL, FOR THE REVIEW, ALIGN AND DEVELOP THE THIRD NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN TOWARDS 2030 ” bearing no external marks as to the identification of the Consultant.
The Financial Proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “FINANCIAL PROPOSAL, FOR THE REVIEW, ALIGN AND DEVELOP OF THE THIRD NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN TOWARDS 2030”, bearing no external marks as to the identification of the Consultant.
