The Ministry of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture (MTSAC) has received clearance from the Government of Lesotho to review the Sports and Recreation Act of 2002. This initiative supports national priorities such as promoting active lifestyles, youth development, social inclusion, employment, peace, and national pride.
The Sports and Recreation Act of 2002 provides the legal framework for sports administration and development in Lesotho, including international representation and oversight of national sports organizations. Given evolving challenges in governance, funding, and accessibility, amendments or a repeal are necessary to ensure the policy remains effective.
