The Western Cape Economic Development Partnership, known as the EDP, is an independent, not-for-profit, public benefit company that works with a range of partners to improve the performance of the Cape Town and Western Cape socio-economic development system.
We help leaders and institutions from different sectors public, private, civil society, education and academia to work together, to grow the local, metropolitan and regional economy, and to address complex system challenges.
Based in Cape Town, the EDP seeks to fill the following vacancy:
REVENUE GROWTH MANAGER
The Revenue Growth Manager will report to the CEO, working collaboratively as part of a revenue growth team. The EDP is looking for a skilled professional to perform the following task and functions:
Monitor and evaluate relevant donor proposal calls
Prepare funding submissions
Manage compilation of joint funding proposals with EDP partners (government, civil society, business, research and academia)
Conduct donor research per EDP key focus areas, i.e., food and nutrition systems, water governance, township economic recovery, safety and violence prevention, urban sustainability, building adaptive management capabilities, etc
Provide support for meetings with donors, such as documentation, notes, follow up
Provide advice on different donor reporting and governance requirements
Build EDP donor care capacity
Provide advice on EDP communications with the donor community
The Revenue Growth Manager must meet the following criteria:
Proven track record in working effectively with a diverse range of donors, i.e., corporate, philanthropy, independent trusts, global institutions, public sector
Legal, financial and reporting aspects of donor contract management
Ability to work in a collaborative way
Results orientated
Values relationships
