The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, and regulated under the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.
The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of Revenue Accountant.
Job Purpose
The incumbent monitors and oversees updating of revenue related records and liaises with organisations that collect revenue on behalf of the Road Fund.
Qualifications, Working Experience and Knowledge:
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting plus five (5) years of experience, three (3) at Management level; OR,
• Be a Registered or General Accountant plus five (5) years of experience, three (3) at Management level;
• Background in Auditing and Revenue Collection;
• Valid Driver’s License of five (5) years;
• Knowledge of Financial Reporting Analysis;
• Project Management will be an added advantage.
Remuneration
Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
