A global leading engineering consulting client with over 65 years’ experience that specialises within the Civil Engineering sector is seeking to employ a Resident Engineer with roads experience to be based in Lesotho. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and energized Resident Engineer to join a leading infrastructure consultancy and contribute to the growth and development of a business with a reputation for technical excellence and strong client relationships. The project entails the upgrading from gravel to asphalt and is scheduled to run for a 36-month contract period, which may be extended. The successful candidate should be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must have a B.Eng or B.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering
Must have 15 years’ experience in Roads & construction projects of which at least 10 years spent as a Resident Engineer in bitumen road design and construction projects
Must be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
Must have Contract Administration experience acting as Resident Engineer for this project
Must have excellent communication and written skills
Must be able to manage all risks involved in the project and insure successful results
Must be able to manage and direct a team
