Under the supervision of the Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, the Librarian Intern will assist with record keeping of electronic and paper-based EGPAF study documents.
Roles and Responsibilities
The librarian will be responsible to:
· Assist with archiving of electronic and paper-based documents of closed EGPAF research studies.
· Assist with arrangement of physical research documents store room by cataloguing, listing and referencing of research study files.
· Assist with creation of digital archives for open and closed research studies documents.
· Collect and ensure safe transportation of research study documents from the study sites upon study closures.
· Monitor and update the study investigators research ethics certificates and curriculum vitae tracker.
· Assist with safe disposal of research study documents at the end of shelf life.
· Assist with coordination of periodic review of research department standard operating procedures.
· Participate in research study meetings and departmental meetings.
· Perform any other duties assigned to him/ her by the Director PHE and the RAC.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Diploma/Degree in Library Science or Information Science or equivalent.
· Proficient in archiving and cataloguing management.
· Ability to pay attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
