REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES
Background and Introduction
The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) is the autonomous administrator and custodian of football in the Kingdom of Lesotho. LeFA is a member of:
- FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations)
- CAF (Confederation of African Football)
- COSAFA (Council of Southern African Football Associations)
LeFA operates in a highly regulated environment that requires adherence to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. In line with best corporate governance practices and auditing standards, LeFA engages different external auditors every four years to maintain independence and objectivity.
LeFA now invites qualified and competent audit firms in Lesotho to submit proposals to provide External Audit Services for the next four years, starting with the financial year ending 31 December 2025.
Objective
To engage a qualified audit firm to conduct annual statutory audits and report to the National Executive Committee and other stakeholders for a four-year term.
Submission Requirements
Proposals must include the following:
- Registration and Compliance
- Proof of registration with the Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA)
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
- Valid Practicing Certificates for engagement partners
- Experience
- Demonstrated experience in auditing Non-Profit Organizations
- Relevant experience of key engagement personnel
- Key Audit Team Composition
- Engagement Partner: Years of experience in auditing, especially public interest entities; must be an LIA member
- Quality Review Partner: Years of experience and professional qualifications
- Audit Manager(s): Relevant audit expertise, qualifications, and LIA membership
- Additional Requirements
- Detailed fee structure
- Three reference letters from previous clients
