Remote/Work at Home – Health Plan Member Service Rep!

BroadPath is immediately hiring experienced Member Service Representatives to work from home! Member Service Representatives will be responsible for navigating Health plan members through the Health Insurance landscape through excellent service. As a work from home associate, BroadPath will provide you with a Laptop, 4 Port USB Hub, Bhive Web Camera, and USB Headset.

Job Duties

  • Receive and respond to telephone inquiries from members regarding eligibility, benefits and authorization of service
  • Responsible for verifying member overages,benefit types, eligibility dates, and claim payment/statuses for providers
  • Estimate member’s out of pocket expenses for select procedures or services and explain member copayments
  • May be required to make outbound calls to assist members in coordinating care
  • Document all call information per approved operating procedures
  • Use tools and problem-solving skills to identify caller needs, including potential crisis calls, and route calls to appropriate resource per standard operating procedures
  • Identify and employ alternative approaches to communicate with callers when encountering barriers and escalate as needed

Required Qualifications

  • FACETS system experience required
  • 1 year of Health Plan Member Service experience
  • Strong computer & telephone multitasking skills including: the ability to effectively search for and type information on the computer,navigate through multiple windows and screens quickly, and inputting information accurately while keeping pace with the call.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive
  • Reliable internet with 5 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload speed (we provide you with the equipment)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour

  • Answer incoming customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products, services, and policies
  • Record customer information within our customer service database
  • Engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns
  • Offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the company’s customer service policies
  • Other duties as requested
