***To be considered for this job, please provide the following information in the cover letter section of your application:

  • What is your product specialty?
  • What is your technique for finding the best new product opportunities?

We are branching into many new physical product categories completely non-related to our core business and are looking for Specialized New Category Managers to build out brands and their portfolio of private-label & proprietary products.

You have run or participated in an successful Amazon FBA business and like many, probably didn’t enjoy all of the business support activities necessary to keep a small enterprise afloat. We are a long standing company, founded in 1968 that already has in place all of those less glamorous functions that you probably would prefer to leave to their relative specialists.

We are TEMCo Industrial. We take pride in the quality of products offered and the real world problems we solve. We prioritize the idea that customer’s come to us with a problem or want and when we offer them a product to that end, if we’ve met that obligation, then we’re successful. If not, we need to work hard to fix it. One of the many ways we try to emphasize that commitment is with a 100% un-conditional 1 YEAR Return Policy. We will take back any product for any reason, used or not, broken or not and refund 100% of the purchase price plus pay return shipping for up to 1 year! We stand behind our customers with the products we offer!

What we’re looking for:

  • First and foremost, You are an Expert in Your Specialty or have very intimate knowledge of a strong category. This could be anything from Cosmetics to Lawn-care, Pet products or even Auto-parts. Whatever your thing is, you are exceptionally well versed in it. You know users, known brands, strengths, weaknesses and most importantly, what people want but are not getting.
  • You know Marketing. You don’t need to be a photographer, graphic designer or listing manager (thankfully) but you will need to know, VERY, VERY well how to communicate why the products you have chosen are desirable to the consumer. You know what features to emphasize, what they want, how to counter the competition. Does price matter for this product? Do they only care about quality? Reliability?
  • You know FBA inside and out. you understand re-stock times, referral and FBA fees, know about how to get top visibility on your products, promote review participation etc. This is your thing and you’re good at it.
  • You know product research. You are very well versed at using Jungle-Scout, Viral Launch, Helium 10 or other Amazon product research tools. You know how to research demand, look at competition, look at coverage gaps, read reviews for deficiencies
  • Understand basic sourcing. You don’t have to be an expert here. We’ve got this one pretty well covered. You do need to know what the bascs of developing new products are. You need to understand the relative costs of different types of tooling and processes. Understand that to change a textile pattern or package design are typically less involved (and costly) than, say, designing a new injection mold for plastic case or changing a metal forging.

What you will not be asked to do:

  • Supply-chain management
  • Demand planning
  • Customer service
  • Graphic Design
  • Product listing Management
  • Taking any personal risk associated with running an FBA business on your own
  • Did we mention you wont have to be your own janitor either?

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have intimate knowledge and expertise of a specific product category and it’s users & applications.
  • Must have experience sourcing products for sale on Amazon including analyzing sales trends and preparing marketing material.
  • To be considered for this job, please provide the following information in the cover letter section of your application:
  • What is your product specialty?
  • What is your technique for finding the best new product opportunities?
