Remote Maximo Engineer

Job Title: Maximo Engineer
Hours: 8am – 5pm

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders and provide best practice solutions for Maximo Asset Management.
• Work with technical lead and subject matter experts to ensure project timelines
• Guide Maximo technical team towards correct solution.
• Ensure process compliance on Maximo development processes.
• Responsible for Maximo installations, configurations, upgrade.
• Responsible for Maximo WebSphere administration.
• Responsible for performing audits and tests of software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures.
• Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for test reports.
• Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to engineering.
• Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products.
• Understands practical solutions to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
• Can interpolate from facts to understand root causes and on this basis, resolves problems and makes innovative contributions.
• Applies understanding of phenomena to observations and designs activities to validate hypotheses.
• Recommends changes in methods or procedures.
• Minimal to moderate customer contact with excellent communication skills applied at all times.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Associates degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Prefer at least 5 years of experience in Enterprise Asset Management – Maximo upgrade, business application requirement and design management.
• Experience in end to end project delivery for IBM Maximo 7.x upgrade.
• Strong business communications in a multi stakeholder environment, especially in regard to consulting with users to understand needs, define requirements, and provide effective solutions.
• Ability to meet strict project deadlines
• Able to work under minimal supervision and get the job done
• Accuracy and reliability

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in integration design/testing for Maximo suite.
• Knowledge of current Maximo 7.x versions
• Report status and communicate risks to stakeholders
• Ability to work both as a team member, or independently on complex tasks, to maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
• Experience with general data manipulation/automation with Maximo or database extract/translate/load tools.
