We are seeking a savvy and enthusiastic writer to join our fast-paced and growing team.
As a crucial member of a high-performance content team reporting to the Evergreen Content Manager, candidates must possess a knack and love for writing short- and long-form content across a variety of lifestyle topics as it pertains to frugal living including: home goods, travel, fashion, home décor, beauty, health, and fitness. At least 2-3 years of WordPress experience is required. Candidates must also be very detail oriented, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
Individuals who will excel in this position will have prior experience creating content in a fast-paced remote environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write short- and long-form evergreen content, including listicles, news briefs, and best of web content
- Create content that aligns with sponsor demands
- Work collaboratively with Evergreen Content Manager to develop topic ideas
- Optimize and refresh existing site content
- Other creative duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional writing skills, including spelling and grammar
- Ability to generate topics based on targeted audiences, keyword research, and trends
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Familiarity with basic ethical SEO practices
- Ability to respond positively to constructive criticism and implement changes accordingly
- Adhere to deadline schedules and perform independently but with a team mindset
- A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business’ mission
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business’ various types of content
- An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale marketing strategies and tactics
- Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
- MANDATORY 2-3 years of content creation experience using WordPress
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong CTA and subject line writing abilities
- Ability to write and self-edit
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team
- Excellence in strategic and creative problem-solving
- Google Analytics experience is a plus
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal skills
- Proficient in the use of software and computer systems associated with creative writing
- Able to constantly analyze, prioritize workload, and problem solve with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and interrelation skills with an ability to establish build and maintain relationships with a variety of people across divisions, in and out of the organization
- Organized and detail oriented with excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders with a sense of humor and purpose
- Photography and design skills are a big bonus
- Previous affiliate experience is a big bonus
Candidates must also provide a portfolio and/or links to digital content showing B2C writing proficiency across frugal living and/or lifestyle topics.
