Job Title : Relationship Manager
Reports to : Head of Business Banking
Location : Maseru

JOB PURPOSE
To execute business strategy by ensuring financial sustainability of the bank through new customer acquisitions, monitoring and ensuring usage, retention and compliance. Activities will be mainly driven by relationship management to ensure growth in liabilities and assets respectively. To manage a portfolio of high value clients by effectively engaging with customers through visits and regular account management. Find customer needs, sell related products to retain him/her while growing LPB
business. Provides strategic direction of the Business Banking department through educating, motivating, mentoring and coaching of subordinates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer
• Executes customer segmentation to ensure effective customer service;
• Executes customer retention plan;
• Engages with the customers in accordance with quality service standards and LPB strategy;
• Executes customer relationship management process effectively;
• Creates value for LPB customers;
• Adopts service culture according to LPB service standards.

Internal Business Processes
• Executes daily activities and initiatives in line with LBP strategy to achieve set goals;
• Plans, Manages and executes daily business activities in accordance with policies and procedures;
• Implements effective leadership skills and experience to ensure compliance to all processes and procedures;
• Ensures regular review /development of policies and procedures to ensure customer service needs are considered;
• Adheres to set turnaround time on business loans and general customer service;
• Regular reporting of portfolio performance to management.

Financial
• Achieves an optimal balance between the customer’s needs, growth and profitability to the Bank, the risks involved, resources and capital adequacy, while improving cost effectiveness;
• Develops strategies and tactics to grow market share by identifying opportunities to acquire customers in collaboration with internal business partners.
• Achieves set targets;
• Ensures quality loans to reduce NPL’s;
• Acquires new customers to grow business base;

People Management
• Ensures continuous Performance Management;
• Motivation and development;
• Ensures high level of staff engagement and motivation;
• Ensures effective teamwork and collaboration with all business partners.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Business related field. Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge of general banking practices, processes and procedures;
• Experience in business banking is an added advantage;
• At least three (3) years in Relationship management;
• Numerical skills and financial acumen to interpret and evaluate financial statements, balance sheets, ratios and cash flow cycles;
