Summary of Position: 

The Officer, Registry is responsible for handling the respective Departments and related programmes effectively and efficiently in Maseru Campus and must continuously monitor and ensure that job responsibility assigned is effectively carried out by self and his/her team members from all Departments. 

Qualifications and Experience

  1. B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons) in computer science or Information Technology
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the relevant area and with a good work track record

Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

The Registry Officer reports to the Senior Manager OAS – Maseru campus and relevant Head of the Department(s). 

The Registry Officer is responsible for handling the respective departments and their related programmes effectively and efficiently in the Maseru campus and must continuously monitor and ensure that the Job responsibilities assigned are effectively carried out by self and his/her team members from the departments under their respective department.   1. Data Processing,
  2. Data maintenance,
  3. Information release, 
  4. Report presentation, 
  5. Certificate and Transcript Printing & Distributing, 
  6. Batch scheduling or timetable preparing, 
  7. Capturing in the system, 
  8. Attendance Monitoring, 
  9. Student Registration and enrollment, 
  10. Student Document Management all as per the QMS of the department and in line with institutional objectives. 
  11. Blackboard (Learning Management system) data maintenance, general letter preparation and maintaining, 
  12. Also responsible for managing all the systems used by the institution,
  13. System support,
  14. Conducting training, 
  15. Customer service. 

Skills and Competencies required:

  1. DB skills and Team Management for MIS 
  2. Strong IT background
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in a related environment
  4. Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  5. Should have strong skills in using MS-Office, MS-NET and MS-SQL server
  6. Knowledge in or exposure to ERP products such as Campus Nexus, Microsoft GP, Talisma CRM
  7. Knowledge in or exposure to Blackboard
