The University invites applications from suitably qualified internal candidates to support the work of Academic Registry.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Registry Manager, the Registry Assistant works to provide assistance in all activities of the Registry Department, which oversee the safekeeping of individual students’ personal information and details, administrate the exercise and productions of enrolments, class lists and attendance lists. 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Create and up keeping all records of students’ files by assuring all students’ details are accurate until the students graduate.
  • Record all enrolment data by faculties, programmes and levels.
  • Report on movement of enrolments when necessary, within the semester (ie: additions and attritions).
  • Supports the registration exercises.
  • Assist other sections of Registry in carrying out their duties to ensure efficient and effective performance
  • Administrate and record all applications from Marketing Department with accurate and complete.
  • Produce Acceptance Letters accordingly.
  • Liaise with Student Services & Affairs Department for all the necessary information of students’ whereabouts.
  • Distributes all updates regularly to the relevant offices on accurate statistical information in regard to students’ enrolment and attritions by faculties, programmes and levels.
  • Assist other sections of Registry in carrying out their duties to ensure efficient and effective performance.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Thecandidate must possess a minimum of Diploma in Information Technology or Business Administration or related fieldand NO WORKING EXPERIENCE is required (on the job training will be provided).

CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and be accountable for the work of the department.
  • Computer and technology skills.
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Ability to work as a flexible and effective member of a team
  • Attention to detail, with the drive and determination to complete work to a high standard
  • The ability to observe a high level of confidentiality at all times
