The Registrar will be responsible to manage the Intellectual Property Office which is the National Intellectual Property Registry for Belize.
Applicants must:
- be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Attorney-at-Law of at least eight (8) years call to the bar in a Commonwealth jurisdiction; and
- have a Master of Laws Degree in Intellectual Property or possess 10-15 years of experience practicing in intellectual property law;
- a person who conducts himself at all times, both in his professional and in his personal life, in a manner that will maintain public confidence.
