Mohlanapeng Health Centre is a CHAL facility owned by the Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa. It is located in Thaba Tseka district and it is about 20km from Thaba Tseka town.
JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse midwife
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent and pensionable
JOB SUMMARY:
Registered Nurse Midwife being one of the health care providers is expected to be an educator, advocate, a counsellor, researcher on the health issues and manager at work situation, he/she should be independent or interdependent in her own right, carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic activities as his/her profession permits.
RELATIONS:
• Reports directly to the nurse in charge
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In the absence of the nurse clinician, he/she is mandated to draw monthly schedules for the health centre
• He/she should ensure proper unit coverage when drawing the schedule
• Registered nurse midwife will be assigned both day and night duty as per the need of the health centre
• He/she will perform obstetric care comprehensively i.e ANC, Deliveries and referrals as per the need of the clients.
• Performs comprehensively MCH services i.e PNC, EPI, IMCI
• He/she will order medications and supplies as per the health centre policies
• He/she will ensure proper control of all the medicines
• He/she will report and report patients’ data as per the Ministry of Health requirements
• He/she will perform any other duties that maybe assigned to him/her from time to time
PRIMARY HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE AND COMPUTER OR E-REGISTER LITERACY WILL BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma or higher qualifications in general Nursing and midwifery
• Valid and UpToDate licence from Lesotho Nursing Council
