ABOUT YOU
As Amnesty International’s Fellow on Public Debt in Southern Africa, you will be expected to have a good grasp of current economic development issues in Southern Africa. You will develop and implement strategies to deliver impact in relation to agreed priorities, providing research expertise using statistical methodologies, analytical, communication and representational skills. This role will provide expert advice, investigate, analyse and produce outputs on public Debt and its implications on the enjoyment of human rights. It will ensure that AI identifies and addresses new trends or emerging economic and social justice issues in a timely manner. The role will enrich the southern Africa Regional office’s ability to use national budget information to formulate advocacy and campaigning strategies that address root causes of human rights violations. The role will also pilot new methodologies for investigating the relationship between debt and the enjoyment of human rights.
