The Cipla Foundation has initiatives spanning healthcare, education and enterprise development with its aim to improve life for all South Africans.

Cipla Foundation has been funded to support National Department of Health in establishing Central Chronic Medication Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) pick-up points (PUPs). These units enable stable patients to easily access and conveniently collect their chronic medication outside of a clinic facility.

Your opportunity…

As the Regional Manager for Gauteng Region, you are responsible for the overall management, coordination of PUP implementation and PUP operations within Gauteng. Your daily functioning includes building deep relationships with all relevant stakeholders, managing a team of regional coordinators and ensuring all PUP operators are fully trained. You will report to the Project Manager.

What you will be doing…
Team and Site management
Manage team of regional coordinators
Train, coach and mentor operational teams
Own all staffing requirements for the region
Regular site visits ensuring SOPs, stock management etc. is in place
Document site resources and activities
Manage timelines and budgets

Stakeholder engagement
Engage with provincial DOH, community stakeholders, and PEPFAR implementing partners to enable strategic placement and landing of PUPS
Engage with DOH facilities to drive decanting of stable ART clients into PUPS
Represent CF at PEPFAR partner meetings
Engage with sub-contractors to ensure CF’s objectives are achieved
Ensure CF executive and senior management are kept abreast with regional developments, opportunities and operational problems in a timeous manner
Conduct presentations
Provide written narrative reports

Sustainability
Strategize and drive parcels to relevant PUPs
Create processes to maintain parcel levels at relevant PUPs 

Who we are looking for…
Graduate degree/diploma preferred or minimum of 10 years relevant health management experience
Prior experience of +5 years’ in health management experience, management of staff in PEPFAR funded programme
Prior experience working with Department of Health at National, Provincial, District and Facility levels is recommended, not essential
You are an outstanding People Manager with a data driven way of working
Your track record of staff mentorship and team management is exceptional
You have successfully managed a number of projects and large teams
You have strong analytical and report writing skills with a data driven approach to measuring performance
You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Your ability to negotiate, problem solve, find and recommend solutions is excellent
