Who we are…

The Cipla Foundation has initiatives spanning healthcare, education and enterprise development with its aim to improve life for all South Africans.

Cipla Foundation has been funded to support National Department of Health in establishing Central Chronic Medication Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) pick-up points (PUPs). These units enable stable patients to easily access and conveniently collect their chronic medication outside of a clinic facility.

Your opportunity…

As the Regional Coordinator in Gauteng, you are responsible for the daily management and supervision of PUP operational activities. Your daily work is a mix of providing stakeholder engagement support to the Regional Manager, assisting with PUP implementation, managing and coaching PUP operators and offering support to Decanting Reps.

What you will be doing…
Site Coordination and Team Management
Assist Regional Manager with new site identification in accordance with DOH instruction
Oversee sub-contractor site activities
Assist Regional Manager with regional related administration
Manage team of PUP operators
Train, coach, mentor and support PUP operators
Provide support on all technical issues including correct capturing of data for reporting
Own all staffing requirements for catchment area
Visit sites regularly, ensuring adherence to dispensing SOPs, stock management and maintenance of equipment
Provide support to Decanting Reps
Facilitate working relationships between PUP operators and associated DOH facility staff
Build PUP operator knowledge by working with training partners and ensuring knowledge transfer
Build relationships with facility management and sub-contractors

Stakeholder engagement
Engage with DOH facilities to drive decanting of stable ART clients into PUPS
Represent CF at provincial DOH, community stakeholders and PEPFAR implementing partner meetings
Assist Regional Manager with sub-contractor engagement
Conduct presentations when required
Report any operational developments, opportunities and problems to Regional Manager, including providing written narrative reports when required

Sustainability
Work with regional manager to plan driving parcels to relevant PUPs in catchment area
Create processes to maintain parcel levels at relevant PUPs

Who we are looking for…
Graduate degree/diploma preferred or minimum of eight (8) years relevant health management experience
Five (5) years’ experience in health management, management of staff in PEPFAR funded programme
Prior experience working with Department of Health at National, Provincial, District and Facility levels is recommended
You are an outstanding People Manager
Your track record of staff mentorship and team management is exceptional
You have successfully managed large teams
You have strong analytical and report writing skills with a data driven approach to measuring performance
You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
You are able to effectively negotiate, problem solve, find and recommend solutions
