REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Refurbishment of Metropolitan Lesotho – Kingsway and Bokamoso Offices
Reference: Re-advertisement
Metropolitan Lesotho invites interested and suitably qualified contractors to submit proposals for the refurbishment of its Kingsway and Bokamoso Offices, located in Maseru.
Note: This is a re-advertisement. The previously advertised RFP for the refurbishment of Kingsway Office was cancelled.
1. Project Overview
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
• General interior refurbishment
• Electrical and plumbing works
• Painting and finishes
• Structural or design modifications as specified in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Contractors are expected to execute the work with minimal disruption to business operations and uphold the highest standards of quality, health, and safety.
2. Submission Requirements
All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked:
“Refurbishment of Metropolitan Lesotho Offices – Tender Bid”
Each submission must include:
- Original completed Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Certified copy of a valid Trader’s License
- Certified copy of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate
- Proposed Programme of Works and Method Statement
- Ministry of Public Works and Transport categorisation certificate (minimum Category C)
The complete quotation must be accompanied by one copy in one envelope.
3. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
• Compliance with submission requirements
• Contractor’s experience and capability
• Proposed methodology and programme of works
• Financial competitiveness
• References from previous projects
4. Submission Deadline
All submissions must be delivered to:
Metropolitan Lesotho Head Office Reception
Kingsway, Maseru
Deadline: Thursday, 17th July 2025 at 16:30
Late submissions will not be considered.
BOQ will be made available upon request.
5. Site Visit
A site visit is not compulsory. However, interested proponents may request to view the site.
