TENDER NOTICE LEC/PO-983/2020/21
The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd (LEC) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders (Electrical Contractors/Suppliers) for the provision of necessary Goods and Works, design, labour, materials, equipment, installation, commissioning, testing, and other technical engineering services necessary for the successful completion OF REFURBISHMENT OF LELOALENG SUBSTATION IN QUTHING DISTRICT.
The works involve but not limited to the following;
(a) Design, supply, installation, documentation of as built drawings and commissioning of 9 x 11kV circuit breakers (one bus-section, five feeders and two incomers, one Aux transformer feeder with VT`s 11000/110V each) at Quthing, Lesotho.
(b) All other necessary works to connect, energise and commission all the new circuit breakers at Leloaleng Substation.
(c) Decommission, remove out and hand over to LEC aged panels
(d) Comprehensive contracts management.
Tenderers are warned that all sections must be completed and that any omissions to this form may invalidate the tender.

Bids must be delivered to the tender box located at LEC Management Block reception on or before 14:15hrs on the 03rd September, 2020.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:15hrs on the 03rd September, 2020 at LEC offices Maseru.
Site Visit: The bidder is advised that it is his responsibility to visit and examine the site of works and its surroundings and obtain for himself, all information that may be necessary for preparing the tender and entering into a contract. The costs of visiting the site and obtaining the necessary information shall be borne by the bidders. There will be a pre-bid meeting that will be followed by a site visit on the 20th August, 2020 at 09H00 at the LEC Office Mafeteng.
Clarifications shall be communicated in writing seven (7) Calendar days before the tender closing date.
