REFURBISHING CLASSROOMS AND CONSTRUCTING PIT LATRINES IN SELECTED SCHOOLS FOR ATTACHMENT OF RECEPTION CLASSES
BACKGROUND
1.2 UNICEF and the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), with support from the GPE Multiplier Grant, are embarking on a nationwide expansion of access through the attachment of reception classes in 300 primary schools.
1.2. UNICEF will renovate 50 available classrooms to become suitable for use as reception classrooms and construct 14 pit latrines blocks in 52 selected schools in Mokhotlong, Mohale’s Hoek, Qacha’s Nek and Thaba-Tseka Districts.
1.3. The construction project is expected to benefit 8100 five- year-olds and lay the groundwork for their comprehensive development.
