Recovery Projects Manager at Letšeng Diamonds

PURPOSE: Manage the Recovery plant efficiency improvement projects at Letšeng Diamonds using appropriate range of project planning and management methodologies and techniques.

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify current recovery inefficiencies and develops a project log
• Create and execute project scope, work plans and revise as appropriate
• Develop a Recovery Project database and incorporate into the maintenance system
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Minimise exposure and risk on projects
• Analyse project profitability and/or effectiveness
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to senior management
• Delivers engaging, informative, well-organised project presentations
• Manages all project service providers
• Development of all Recovery and related operation procedures (i.e. Security)
• Provide Mentoring and coaching to the Senior Recovery personnel
• Putting in place an operations manual for all Recovery related operations (Plant, Security and support processes to Recovery)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Suitable project management qualifications
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in Mining, Process Plants design and operations
• Experience in Recovery plant and Sorthouse operations
• 5 Years in managerial role
• Experience with XRT technology will be an added advantage

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Extensive experience in managing multimillion Maloti projects
• Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with stakeholders, contractors and support specialists at an executive management level
• Excellent business, technical and financial skills are required in all areas of general mining and project management
• Safety Health and Environmental best practice application in the project outcome
• Understand the Legal responsibilities/liabilities and ensure that the project designs are compliant

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness as per requirements
• Candidates will be required to undergo an Integrity Assessment in addition to Security clearance
