Applicants should note that this position is a permanent local Daimler Trucks and Buses Southern Africa position. The successful candidate will be employed on a Daimler Trucks and Buses Southern Africa contract of employment with local conditions of service.
OUTPUTS

Fault diagnosis, remedy and reporting of problems on test vehicles
-
Preparation, monitoring and controlling of test vehicles
-
Perform physical inspection on engine parts as well as chassis parts.

Present engine inspection feedback abroad and local.

Compile and distribute technical reports
-
Responsible for the identification of continuous improvement opportunities within the Product Testing department.

Training/skills transfer to colleagues
-
Update/flashing of various control modules and system on the test fleet.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle products and aggregates
-
Must be able to interact with all levels of the corporate hierarchy

Expert presentation, communication and computer literacy skills

Problem solving techniques/analytical skills
-
Must be meticulous and pay attention to detail

Good planning and organizing skills
-
Must be willing to travel abroad.
EXPERIENCE
-
5 years relevant Commercial Vehicle experience or
-
A Code EC (Code 14) Licence would be advantageous
-
Practical knowledge of Daimler engineering systems (Xentry, FiNAS, MARC, Monaco, CaNAPE) is advantageous
-
Proficiency in German is an advantage
