The Lesotho Electricity Company (Pty) Ltd (LEC) invites local and Registered Electrical Contractors to submit tenders for completing the above works on the following terms and conditions:-
The proposed works involve procurement and storage of materials, construction, testing and commissioning of 11kV combi units and 80A pole mounted circuit breakers.
1. All materials will be supplied by contractor. The tenders shall be based on works, which would be completed within Fourteen (14) Weeks after tender award.
2. The successful Tenderer shall be obliged to enter into Contract Agreement with LEC. The “Conditions of Contract” shall be in accordance with 1999 Conditions of FIDIC Contract (Short Form) Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Works necessarily amended for purposes of this proposed works. A blank copy of this Agreement is available for inspection during normal office hours at the office of the General Manager Engineering – LEC.
Tendering companies should have the following documents
• Company Registration Certificate
• Tax Clearance Certificate
• Traders’ Licence
3. Sealed Tenders endorsed “TENDER FOR SUPPLY, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF 33KV AND 11KV COMBI UNITS” shall be placed in the tender box located at LEC Management Office Block, Reception Area on or before the 22nd August, 2019 at 14:00hrs for opening on the same day at 14:15hrs.
4. Tenderers have the right to witness the tender opening process.
5. The LEC does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender nor assign any reason for the acceptance or rejection of any tender.
6. Tenderers are warned that any amendments, additions, omissions or qualifications to this form may invalidate the tender.
7. Tenders received after the closing time will not be considered .
