Position Details
Job Title: Radiographer
Location: Lesotho
Contract: Two-year fixed-term contract, renewable
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with clinical requests and approved protocols.
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures clearly and ensuring their comfort, dignity and safety.
- Apply radiation protection measures to safeguard patients, colleagues and the public.
- Assess image quality and maintain accurate patient and examination records.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
- Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Follow infection prevention, confidentiality and quality assurance requirements.
- Participate in shift duties and on-call services as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Current professional registration and eligibility to practise as a radiographer in Lesotho.
- Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic imaging.
- Sound knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety and patient care.
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional standards in a busy clinical environment.
Contract Term
The successful candidate will be appointed on a two-year fixed-term contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and organisational requirements.
