Mohale FM, Lesotho’s first ever truly independent News and current affairs radio station with no connections to any sectoral interests or political parties, is due for launch on or before 01 June 2022. The station would thus wish to recruit for the following key vacancies:
RADIO PRODUCERS
- The radio producers shall be primarily responsible for creating radio talk shows
- They shall be involved in the entire process, from the conceptualization to the final distribution in conjunction with the programming
- They shall generate ideas, research and develop the content, select the audios, and also contact potential contributors and interviewees
- Take charge of designing the schedules, handing the recordings and editing, and managing budgets
- Use modern broadcasting technology for the purposes of editing and production
- Maintain show times and formats, arrange for guests, as well as screening or briefing callers
- Collaborate with presenters broadcasting assistants, engineers, IT staff
- Take care off the entire commercial and business aspects of programs, and also make sure that safety and health standards are maintained

A minimum of 5 years experience and relevant education in media, communications or broadcasting (preferably at degree level) is required for the Station Manager’s post while 3 years experience and the relevant Diploma or Degree in media or related subjects will suffice for the other posts.
