JPS Africa is a non-profit organization with the goal of increasing access to high quality HIV and AIDS prevention services in South Africa. In collaboration with our partners, we empower health professionals and communities they serve to build and maintain quality healthcare services in low resource settings. JPS Africa is looking to fill the following contract positions for the JHPIEGO CDC funded training project. Positions are based at the JPS Africa offices in Pretoria.

Quality Assurance Director/Trainer

Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Director/Trainer is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance efforts within the organization, including the development and implementation of a quality assurance program and training.

Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor quality assurance programs (Direct Service Delivery and Training).
Administer quality assurance management systems.
Ensure all services and products are free from any flaws or errors.
Evaluate and improve QA/QI processes.
Train direct reports and course participants in CQI and Recording and Reporting (RnR).
Identify possible errors and areas of improvement.
Maximize output and efficiency.
Define QA policies.
Checks all SOPs, guidelines and training materials to review if the existing standards will continue to bring ROI.
Assess trainers and Training processes and materials (face to face and online).
Evaluate programme and training statistics.
Ensure that all procedures within the company conform to health and safety regulations, financial policies and legislation.
Analyse specifications and statistical data.
Continuously improve upon QA processes.
Ensure all equipment in organisation is working properly.
Isolate and remove malfunctioning equipment.
Schedule equipment testing and maintenance with IT.
Train, and supervise QA staff and managers.
Develop QA budgets.
Requirements:

A qualification in Public Health (MPH)/Project Management/Advanced M&E/BCur or equivalent; experience in leading a MMC DSD and Training team required; experience in CQI, R&R, Clinical Training (HIV Prevention) is required; experience in overseeing/implementing HIV prevention programming preferred; Efficient in MS Office applications. Demonstrate knowledge of synthesizing information and presentation, knowledge of evaluation designs in HIV programs.  Excellent attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must have training experience and a passion for excellence in training. Time management skills. At least 15 years’ experience in MMC programming will be an added advantage.

Ability to manage a team, multitask and manage a constant heavy workload. A management qualification is required.
