Participation is open to all professionals, artists and design enthusiasts. The key idea is to create opportunity for designers to enter the world market.
The best three designs will be awarded with a total of PNL 20,000, of which PNL 10,000 are reserved for the winner.
This year’s contest slogan is “A child’s place in public space – an inclusive table and chair for learning and playing“. The goal is to design a piece of furniture and/or a set of furniture for children, produced in the spirit of Wooden Story’s ecological philosophy.
The design should reflect an idea for a creative and inclusive workspace for children, including children with disabilities, whether sensory or motor or both. It should be a piece of furniture that provides a comfortable place both for learning and creative play.
Wooden Story will award the following prizes in its 1st Pure Design Contest:
- 1st Prize: PLN 10,000 + invitation to Maison & Objet fair in Paris
- 2nd Prize: PLN 6,000 + project presentation at Formex fair in Stockholm
- 3rd Prize: PLN 4,000 + project presentation at CIFF fair in Copenhagen
The purpose of the Contest is to support, develop and comprehensively promote talented designers, especially students of architecture, design and other art school faculties.
