Purchasing Clerk In the Finance Division

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The incumbents will report to the Purchasing Officer. The position is tenable at LEC Headquarters in Maseru.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Diploma in Business Studies or equivalent

EXPIERIENCE PROGRESSION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• A Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a purchasing environment.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of ACCPAC or relevant accounting package is essential.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
• Excellent interpersonal and personal skills.
• Methodical and disciplined approach to work.
• Customer care oriented.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Extremely organised.
• Good reporting skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The incumbents will be responsible for performing the following:

• Preparing accurate and complete purchase orders for supplies and materials.
• Issuing purchase orders to user departments.
• Maintaining purchase records.
• Receiving and processing requisitions from user departments.
• Managing inventory levels to determine new purchases needed.
• Receiving ad checking correctness of invoices.
• Capturing invoices in the ACCPAC System.
• Rectifying queries from Accounts Payable Section
